<p>The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetic Medicine at University of Washington is recruiting a full-time academic biochemical geneticist at the level of Assistant, Associate or full Professor, without tenure by reason of funding (WOT) on the Clinician-Scholar pathway. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.</p>
<p>Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.</p>
<p>Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.</p>
<p>Responsibilities will include patient care (inpatient consultations, primary inpatient service, outpatient biochemical genetics clinics at the various Seattle Children&#8217;s Hospital sites and the University of Washington, and regional clinics in Washington) and teaching of medical students and residents.  Opportunities will be available for clinical research and collaboration with physician/scientists in the Seattle Children’s Research Institute and basic scientists in the Departments of Pediatrics and Genome Sciences at the University of Washington.  Clinical biochemical genetic services are currently provided by five biochemical geneticists, three genetic counselors, three nurses, three dietitians, and one social worker.</p>
<p>Positive factors for consideration include but are not limited to board certification in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.</p>
<p>Anticipated start date is Winter 2025/2026.</p>
<p>All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.</p>
<p>The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors $16,667 &#8211; $19,584 per month ($200,004 – $235,008 annually), Associate Professors $17,500 &#8211; $20,417 per month ($210,000 – $245,004 annually) and Professors $19,042 &#8211; $28,562 per month ($228,504 &#8211; $342,744 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.</p>
<p>Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children’s University Medical Group practice plan.</p>

<li>Have an MD or DO, or MD/DO combined (or foreign equivalent)</li>
<li>Be board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Genetics</li>
<li>Be either board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical or Medical Biochemical Genetics</li>

<p>In order to be eligible for University sponsorship  for an H-1B visa, graduates of a foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.</p>

Nominations and applications are sought for a visionary leader with demonstrated capacity to lead this department in its mission areas of teaching, research, and extension/outreach/service. <p>The department has approximately ~20 faculty and staff and is administered through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, which provides an operating budget including funding from the Experiment Station. <p>The University of Cincinnati Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is searching for a Clinical Track faculty member who will contribute to the department’s teaching, research, and service missions. This is a 12-month per year position (1.0 FTE) with rank (assistant, associate, or full professor) commensurate with education and experience that will preferably begin at the start of Fall 2025.</p>

<li>While student instruction (clinical or didactic) is central to this position, service and scholarship activities are also required, consistent with the missions and faculty evaluative criteria of the University, College, and Department.</li>

<li>Clinical doctorate (AuD) in audiology</li>

<li>At least three (3) years full-time experience, or equivalent, in the independent provision of clinical services across a broad range of audiology</li>
<li>Evidence of involvement in service and professional activities</li>
<li>Prior supervision and mentoring experience with doctor of audiology students in a clinical setting</li>
<li>A commitment to utilizing and teaching evidence-based practice</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through to effectively mentor students</li>
<li>Ability to work independently</li>
<li>Interest and ability to collaborate with the Clinic Director, CSD faculty, and interdisciplinary teams</li>
<li>Ability to assist with tasks assigned by Department Chair</li>
<li>Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology and educational learning management systems</li>

<p>Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Professorship position in IT and Internet law at the Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL). The professorship is located in the department&#8217;s CBS LAW unit.</p>
<p>Core research areas of the Department of Business Humanities and Law include governance, culture, learning, entrepreneurship, business ethics, leadership and business law from commercial and societal perspectives.</p>

<p><strong>Research environment</strong></p>
<p>The Department of Business Humanities and Law is dedicated to an integrated approach to the contemporary challenges facing business and society drawing on the humanities, interdisciplinary social sciences, and law. It emphasizes problem-oriented research to understand those challenges and to build the lifelong capabilities necessary to address them. Faculty within the department have diverse research backgrounds and research foci including but not limited to leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics, strategy, law, politics, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, diversity, equity and inclusion, culture and leisure management. What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments and, by implication, are search interest in the interdisciplinary conversation between humanities and social sciences.</p>
<p>Within the Department of Business Humanities and Law, the position will be located in the CBS LAW Unit.</p>
<p><strong>CBS LAW</strong> is internationally recognised for the excellence in law scholarship and for an interdisciplinary, proactive and dynamic research perspective within law in Northern Europe. CBS LAW concentrates on providing unique research relevant for the Danish business community, public sector, and society in general andengages in research firmly grounded in business and societal problems. Our perspective is Nordic, EU and global and is based not only on traditional law disciplines but also on a unique interface between law, management, entrepreneurship, economics and policymaking.</p>
<p>CBS LAW is a source of expertise in a number of EU and Nordic-specific legal areas and provides, in that sense, the research that business communitiesneed and demand. At the same time, we are strongly represented in European and global scholarship. <p>CBS LAW publishes widely both in the international and national core journals and monographs.</p>
<p>CBS LAW is a constituent research unit of the Department for Business Humanities and Law (BHL). As such, a part of our activities also concentrates on multidisciplinary research and creating interfaces between law, other disciplines at BHL.</p>
<p>CBS LAW is involved in teaching BSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law (HA-jur), MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.merc.jur), MSc in Business and Economics and Auditing (cand. merc. aud), Master in tax and other study programmes at CBS. The majority of the courses are taught in Danish.</p>
<p>CBS LAW is part ot the CBS PhD school.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li>Teaching and associated examination in existing CBS programs (in both Danish and English)</li>
<li>Individual and group-based research meeting high international standards</li>
<li>Contributing to the development and application of the research of the department’s research areas and to maintain and strengthen CBS’s international research position</li>
<li>Promoting CBS academic reputation</li>
<li>Initiating, fund-raising and coordinating research projects</li>
<li>Promoting teaching and research capabilities of Copenhagen Business School</li>
<li>Providing academic leadership and undertaking administrative responsibilities within the department and across CBS</li>
<li>Communicating findings to the public in general and to CBS stakeholders in particular</li>
<li>Publishing, scientific communication and research-based teaching</li>
<li>Active  participation  in  the  teaching  and  research  activities,  including  research seminars, workshops and conferences</li>

<p>The position is part of the larger strategic effort by Roskilde University to strengthen its basic research in fields that open new venues for external collaboration with the private and public sector. <p>Department of People and Technology is the largest department at Roskilde University and covers a range of subject areas, broadly focused on human – society – technology interactions and covering topics as sustainable transitions of society, social entrepreneurship, urban planning, computer science, digitalization, healthcare, welfare studies, etc. The position is linked to the research group Programming, Logic, and Intelligent Systems (PLIS). In PLIS, basic research in computer science is combined with innovative applications. The construction of reliable, intelligent, and resource-efficient systems requires basic research in the mathematical and logic foundations of databases, algorithms, programming tools, and languages. PLIS contributes innovative applications in areas such as interaction design, artistic and informative installations, virtual and augmented reality, big data, bioinformatics, applications of logic in psychology, and program analysis for energy consumption and correctness.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities and tasks</strong><br />
The candidate’s main tasks will be to undertake research and research-based teaching within the field of research.</p>
<p>The candidate will be expected to maintain a significant record of publications and to contribute to a strong research culture in the research group. You will also be expected to secure external research funding and engage in research networks. You will be required to teach, supervise, and assess students at BSc and MSc levels as well as PhD students. This also implies developing the field in relation to teaching. <p><strong>Qualifications</strong><br />
Applicants must hold a PhD degree or equivalent within computer science or a closely related field and have documented qualifications equivalent to several years of research and tertiary teaching at the level of associate professor.</p>
<p>We are seeking applicants with a background in Computer Science and a strong research profile in Data Science, preferably within the domain of Machine Learning. We are particularly interested in applicants with research in one or more of the following subject areas: (1) explainable AI, (2) the combination machine learning and symbolic reasoning, (3) language models or Natural Language Processing, and (4) cybersecurity. The research in the areas covered should span both basic research and innovative applications.</p>

To qualify for enrolment in the professor promotion programme, the applicant must – in addition to being qualified as associate professor – demonstrate the potential to become full professor within 2-8 years.</p>

<p><em><strong>Qualifications common to all applicants</strong></em></p>
<p>Applicants should have documented experience in attracting and managing external project funding from national or international funding bodies with connected scientific publications in high-level scientific outlets. We also expect the applicant to support the development of collaboration with public and private actors that can benefit from applying the research results, as well as to develop research collaboration with other research groups within the University.</p>
<p>The applicant is expected to possess initiative and good collaboration skills, be visible and actively contributing to the daily activities in the PLIS research group and the connected teaching programs. Both professional and social competencies will be prioritized to create an inspiring daily working environment.</p>
<p>Within three years of employment, the applicant is expected to be able to teach in Danish. Experience with problem-oriented project supervision and teaching at university level is an advantage.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate shall be enterprising and possess good communication skills and be a visible, involved participant in the department’s daily activities, in addition to being willing to engage in disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration across the department.</p>
<p><strong>Assessment</strong><br />
In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:</p>

<li>original scientific production at an international level in relation to the above-mentioned field(s)</li>
<li>development of the field</li>
<li>experience with providing adaptive leadership in the development of research and teaching,</li>
<li>the ability to promote and utilize research results,</li>
<li>experience in teaching and education,</li>
<li>ability to contribute to the development of the department’s internal and external cooperation,</li>
<li>proven experience in securing external research funding,</li>
<li>fluency in Danish (or another Scandinavian language), English, or both – see the university’s language policy.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Potential assessment for the promotion programme</strong><br />
Applicants wishing to be admitted to the promotion programme must submit a completed promotion plan. Based on this plan, the assessment committee will assess and recommend in its conclusion to what extent the applicant has the potential to achieve a positive professor assessment at the end of the programme.</p>
<p>The final decision on admission is made by the rector and pro-rector, based on the recommendation from the dean, the application and the assessment committee&#8217;s assessment. The decision on admission is made in connection with the appointment.</p>

<p><strong>Terms of employment</strong><br />
The employment is full-time, and you will refer to head of department Peter Kjær.</p>
<p>The position will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities.</p>
<p>Commencing salary will be minimum DKK 705.939,49 kr. kr. per year (1st April 2025 level) plus pension contribution (18,07 %).</p>
