Job Description Summary 

The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment (CFWE) at Auburn University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in forest economics and policy. The applicant hired to fill this position will develop methods and conduct studies on (1) timber markets and global timberland investment; (2) forest products market structure in U.S. South; (3) forest carbon markets; and (4) other forest and natural resource economics and policy topics.

Minimum Qualifications     

A Ph.D. in Forest Economics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics, or a similar field, with a strong background in forestry, economics and econometrics at time of employment.

Strong communication and analytical (both qualitative and quantitative) skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong publication record.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.

Desired Qualifications         

Experience in timber market analysis and timberland investment.
