Job description
The Kollberg Laboratory is one of Europe’s most well-equipped facilities for microwave, millimetre-wave, and terahertz characterisation. The primary role of the research engineer is to support researchers, including students and industrial collaborators, in obtaining high-quality measurements. This includes responsibilities for maintenance, user training, liaising with suppliers, and general lab organisation. Additionally, you will assist the infrastructure director in procuring and installing new equipment. You are also expected to help with various measurements, such as scattering parameters, power, spectrum analysis, noise, and I-V characterisation, as well as mounting and assembling components using soldering, wire-bonding, and flip-chip bonding techniques.

Contract terms
Permanent employment, 100%.
Qualifications
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
– Experience with electronics and microwave measurements
– Skilled in programming (e.g. MATLAB, Python, C++)
– Fluent in English
You should possess strong communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, the ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary research environment, excellent experimental skills, and the capacity to work independently and proactively.
