In our fascinating research environment in St. Gallen, we are offering a training position as a laboratory technician specializing in biology starting in August 2026.
Your tasks
The focus of the training is on cell and microbiology. You will learn how to cultivate animal and human cells, isolate and identify cell components, and collaborate on projects. You will also receive training in microbiology, where you will learn how to cultivate and analyze microorganisms and explore their significance in various biological processes. Laboratory technicians with a Swiss Federal Diploma in Biology will learn not only how to safely handle chemicals, but also basic general laboratory work. External introductory courses at ETH Zurich support the transfer of knowledge during your training. In addition to the in-company training, you will attend vocational school in Winterthur (two days per week).
Your profile
You have completed secondary school and have good grades in science and technology, mathematics, and English. You work independently, precisely, and reliably. In addition to good observation skills, you possess manual dexterity and stamina.
