What you do here
  • Actively participate in the daily business of the Photovoltaic Systems Laboratory and the Electricity Grid Laboratory : conduct measurements, simulations and studies, conduct research, and write reports and publications
  • Conduct and evaluate power quality measurements at distribution network operators as part of a current research project
  • Participate in 1-2 projects per year in the area of ​​grid connection/photovoltaics/inverters and target grid planning (independent project management if interested and suitable)
  • Present project results to clients, chair meetings, give presentations; provide professional support to young employees and interns
  • Support the further development of the Smart Grid Lab with a view to its relocation to the Biel-Bienne campus
What you ideally bring with you
  • Completed studies in electrical engineering or a comparable field; work experience desired
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering with a focus on energy transmission, power grids and/or power electronics; ideally experience in the planning or operation of distribution networks
  • Good organizational skills for yourself and others (supervision of younger employees), ideally project experience
  • Quick grasp of customer concerns, confident appearance in front of an audience
  • Very good written and spoken German skills (native speaker level or C1), good English skills, French is a plus
