Depending on the qualification project (doctoral thesis/Habilitation) and previous experience, the appointment will be made for an initial period of 12-24 months, with the possibility of subsequent renewal up to a total of five years. Applications for shorter periods and from senior scientists will also be considered.
The postdoc or doctoral student will teach in the undergraduate program BA Theater und Medien and/or MA program Applied Theatre. He/she will teach theatre courses and supervise student’s projects, mainly in applied and devised theatre.
Ideal candidates hold an excellent Master in Dramaturgy, Theatre Studies, or a related discipline (for postdoc position: a doctoral degree in addition). Enthusiasm for experimental research, ability to work in a team and good German skills (B2-level) are required, as teaching is mostly in German. Training and prior research experience in theatre and performance training are of decisive advantage.
Salaries will be in accordance with the payscale of “Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder (TV-L, subgroup E 13-West)”.
