The Georg-August-University Göttingen Foundation for Public Law – Centre for Modern Indian Studies is seeking to appoint a
– Salary Group 13 TV-L –
Part-time position with 65% of regular weekly working hours. The position is limited to August 31, 2027.
Thematic Focus:
Within the framework of the DFG project “Modern India in German Archives” under the direction of Prof. Ravi Ahuja, the social history of the Rourkela steelworks, built as a joint effort between West Germany and India, will be examined from a comparative perspective, with particular emphasis on the development of employment relationships under conditions of transnational cooperation in a major industrial project.
Application
Requirements: Candidates must have a completed university degree (Master’s/Diploma) in South Asian History or interdisciplinary South Asian Studies (with a focus on the history of labor and the history of German-Indian interrelationships) and a very good command of German and English.
