The School of Dentistry is looking for an Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve in the department of Biomedical Sciences. Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate based on selected hire’s qualifications.
Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience:
- PhD degree in Neuroscience. No experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong background and skills in slice recording combined with optogenetic manipulation.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision, meet deadlines, be detail-oriented and to prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to work with research animals (mice and rats).
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in neuroscience research.
- Experience in multidisciplinary research, peer-reviewed research papers.
- Hands-on experience in pain research.
- Strong background and skills in slice recording combined with optogenetic manipulation.
