The Department of Biostatistics at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute at the University of Zurich invites applications for a four-year Postdoctoral position financed by the SNSF.
Your responsibilities
- Specification of reproducibility rules for the whole project
- Development, validation, and application of frequentist and Bayesian statistical methods for computation of proper scoring rules, informativeness, and sensitivity estimates
- Carrying out Monte Carlo simulations
- Implementation of functions in the free open-source R software
- Development and documentation of an R package
- Development of an interactive Shiny web application
- Presentation of research results at international scientific meetings
- Publication of research results in peer-reviewed journal articles
- Supervision of master theses and a PhD student
- Organization of workshops in collaboration with administrative staff and student helpers
- A moderate amount of teaching to an interdisciplinary audience
