The University Writing Program at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate to begin January 1, 2025. The position is a non-tenure accruing appointment with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years.
The University Writing Program is a thriving program offering a wide range of writing-intensive courses in areas such as themed critical thinking and writing, writing in the disciplines, and professional writing. Postdoctoral Associates teach existing upper-division courses in areas such as Writing in the Law, Writing in the Medical Sciences, and Writing in the Humanities and develop courses in their own areas of interest. The teaching assignment is 3/2.

Ph.D. required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching discipline-focused writing is preferred.
Candidates may have expertise in any area of composition and rhetoric, literature, or culture, though the following interests are encouraged: environmental or social justice rhetoric, digital and media studies, science writing, and public-facing or community-focused writing.
