Your Job:
- Development of dynamic simulation models in Modelica
- Verification and validation of simulation models
- Further development of methods for automated generation of simulation models based on publicly available data (e.g. OpenStreetMap)
- Integration of models into co-simulation platforms
- Extension and maintenance of database systems
- Supporting the development of model predictive control (MPC) algorithms
- Supporting the development activities of model libraries
- Supervision of student theses
- Publication of the achieved results in professional journals
Your Profile:
- Very well completed Master`s degree in mechanical engineering, energy technology, or comparable field
- Experience with the development and validation of dynamic simulation models (ideally in the field of energy systems engineering)
- Good knowledge of Modelica and Python
- Ideally experience with GIS data formats, databases, and control technology (e.g. Model Predictive Control (MPC))
- Agile way of working in a multidisciplinary team
- High initiative and willingness to learn as well as good communication skills
- Good written and spoken English, German language skills desired
- A high degree of quality awareness and ability to think abstractly

The position is for a fixed term of 3,5 years, where the first half year serves as orientation and probation period. Pay in line with 75% of pay group 13 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) and additionally 60 % of a monthly salary as special payment („Christmas bonus“).
