The PhD concerns the mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement and its impact on fretting fatigue in additively manufactured materials. This research focuses on understanding the mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement and its impact on fretting fatigue in additively manufactured materials. Hydrogen embrittlement reduces the strength and ductility of a material through hydrogen absorption, which can lead to fracture. By studying these processes in additively manufactured materials, research can help improve the structural integrity and reliability of these components.
