The Chair of Marketing is part of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zurich. We deal with innovative marketing and retail topics. We investigate methods that lead to desired behavioral changes in consumers (e.g. choosing more sustainable products). The focus is on empirical research. Analytical, statistical, experimental and econometric knowledge is required for the work and is an advantage if already available.
Tasks
- Writing a dissertation in the field of marketing
- Planning, implementation, evaluation, presentation and publication of scientific studies as part of your own dissertation or project
- Participation in teaching and organization
- Supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
profile
- Above-average master’s degree or diploma in business administration, psychology, business informatics, economics or statistics
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interest in marketing issues and empirical research
- Solid knowledge and practical experience in R, Matlab or Python
- High research motivation, reliability, initiative and ability to work in a team
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Communicative and didactic competence as well as teaching experience, e.g. as a study assistant, are an advantage
