An application and thus the sending of the usual application documents is voluntary. Your personal data contained in the application documents or possibly obtained in the interview will be processed by the University of Leipzig – in this case the department advertising the position – exclusively for the purpose of the selection process for this advertised position and, unless expressly consented to in individual cases, will not be passed on to third parties. The legal basis for data processing is Section 11 Paragraph 1 of the Saxon Data Protection Implementation Act in conjunction with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). The addressee of the application specified in this advertisement is responsible for the application process.
Your personal data will be stored for six months after the recruitment process has ended and then deleted or destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations. Consent can be refused or revoked with effect for the future without giving reasons. In these cases, the University of Leipzig will not be able to process the application and thus will not be able to consider you in the application process. According to the GDPR, you have the following rights vis-à-vis the addressee of the application if the relevant legal requirements are met: right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), right to rectification of incorrect personal data (Art. 16 GDPR); data deletion (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
