The laboratory of Dr. Yini Li in the Borch Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers (Fellows) with a keen interest in epigenetic crosstalk (i.e., RNA modifications, regulatory RNAs, and chromatin regulation) in normal neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. Our wet/dry hybrid laboratory employs a wide range of tools, including molecular biology, functional genomics, multi-omics, and bioinformatics, to investigate how epigenetic crosstalk promotes normal neurodevelopment and how dysregulation of these factors contributes to neurodegeneration.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in RNA biology and bioinformatics. A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, biology, neuroscience, or equivalent fields with robust data analysis skills is required. Preferred experience includes:
- Analyzing large patient datasets
- Familiarity with genome-wide, transcriptome-wide, and/or epitranscriptome-wide bioinformatic techniques
The research is conducted at Purdue University, West Lafayette (Main) Campus, Indiana. Purdue is one of the world’s top-ranked research universities and is among the top 10 most innovative schools in the US.
