Research lab seeks a motivated post-doctoral fellow (0-1 yrs post PhD) for NIH-funded wet bench research focused on mechanistic studies of human immune cells with applicability to obesity, type 2 diabetes, aging, and cognitive decline. The typical size of the lab group is 5-7 people with a mix of pre-doc and post-doc fellows, plus Masters/PhD-level staff scientists. Each lab member leads a project for their first author manuscripts, and collaborative work across lab projects is encouraged.
Training in oral/written presentations and academic success strategies is provided to all lab members by the PI. The PI has numerous former post-docs with NIH-funded research programs in academics, and others in industry leadership positions. All lab members work with the PI but also with other lab members and collaborators to foster cross-disciplinary approaches, with emphasis on interaction with analytical team members for a deeper understanding of their data.
