Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, Department of Business & Economics invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure track position in Business beginning August 15, 2025.
Essential Functions
- Conducting and teaching assigned courses and seminars in the field of business for twelve credit hours per term, during fall and spring semesters, including day, evening, and online classes. Assigned courses may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Courses in the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) in Applied Administration program, many of which focus on the use and application of technology in business administration, including Applied Data Analytics and Applied Media Methods; and
- Courses within the UCBA Business and Economics Department which include courses in Management, Information Systems (IS), or related disciplines
- Evaluating student coursework
- Engaging in professional activity, such as research, papers, and presentations related to pedagogy and/or in the faculty member’s discipline
- Attending departmental meetings and preparing materials for teaching
- Evaluating and developing curriculum for the department and/or college
- May serve as an academic advisor
- Participating in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University
- Rendering service to the professional or lay community, such as committee membership (leadership roles), or volunteer service, which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty
Minimum Requirements
Prior to effective date of appointment:
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; and
- One (1) academic year of college-level teaching experience, which must have included teaching at least one course in a discipline area such as Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, Information Systems, or a related discipline area.
