Job Description

We are seeking a candidate to help develop the electrochemical sensor system that we work with in our group. The work involves all steps of sensor development (concept development, fabrication and testing). You will be involved in a highly interdisciplinary project in a productive scientific environment.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your main task will be to fabricate nanoporous gold using the dynamic hydrogen bubbling template and test the material for use as an electrochemical sensor. You should expect both theoretical and experimental work and a high degree of collaboration with your colleagues.

You have a background in biomedical engineering, chemistry or equivalent and have in-depth knowledge of the following: electrochemical methods, nanoporous gold, electrodeposition, surface characterization (SEM, AFM, XPS etc.), and 3D printing. In addition, you should have experience working with implantable sensors.

A major part of your work will be to supervise bachelor and master students, and we expect you to have previous experience with independent project supervision.

We expect that you are an efficient team worker, have good communication skills and have a critical engineering mindset for sensor development.

As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
