Job Description

Is your dream job to do research in structural modeling using cutting-edge digital technologies? Then the new scientist position at DTU might be what you are looking for. The position will strengthen the department’s research in structural digitization and nondestructive testing (NDT) of wind turbine structural components, such as composite wind turbine blades.

Responsibilities and qualifications
You are expected to work on the following topics:

  • Develop the key enabling technologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of structural digital representation focusing on structural damage and failure assessment
  • Use NDT equipment to characterize damage state in composite materials and structures
  • Development of NDT procedures to be used at various test set-ups in laboratories
  • Writing papers for international scientific journals
  • Development of numerical tools to create research impact on the wind energy industry
  • Development of research projects, writing project applications to acquire external funding
  • Teach and supervise MSc students and thesis projects
  • Supervise/co-supervise PhD-students
  • Guide and supervise assistant professors and researchers
  • Innovation and collaboration with industry

Preference will be given to applicants that can document:

  • Successful funding acquisition and project management
  • Publications in the field of NDT of composite materials and/or structures
