Job Description

As an internationally recognized figure, you will lead the research unit with approximately 80 international employees strategically, scientifically, and operationally. You will also represent the research unit internally and externally, maintain regular contact with external partners and stakeholders, and advise the management with your expertise. You will assume a leading role in national and international research initiatives (programs, projects) and committees and engage in collaboration with authorities and professional organizations. You will continuously support and develop activities at the interface between research and practice. Your diverse and responsible responsibilities will also include the coordination and promotion of the six research groups and the management of your own projects.

You are at an advanced stage of your academic career and have solid and successful experience in leading heterogeneous groups and coordinating interdisciplinary research projects. You have a strong track record in the development and financing of research projects, an excellent publication record, and an established international network in your field. You are an initiative, integrative, and committed individual with negotiating skills and a well-structured working style. In addition, you are motivated to further develop the research unit scientifically and have strong communication skills with fluent language skills in English and at least one Swiss national language, with German being an advantage.
