For the Surveillance Systems group we are looking for a

engineer

Your tasks

  • Sampling in the PSI West area, carrying out the measurements of the samples (g-spectrometry, LSC analyses if necessary) as part of the emission monitoring in accordance with the requirements of the supervisory authorities as well as interpretation and reporting of the measurement results
  • Planning, development and assistance in the procurement of new measuring equipment for the balancing and monitoring of the institute’s radioactive emissions into the environment
  • Calibration of measuring equipment as well as organization and implementation of quality assurance at emission systems
  • Development of technical specifications, test instructions and operating instructions for emission systems
  • Preparation of reports, quality management documents and presentation of results at specialist conferences

your profile

  • Bachelor or Master of Science (applied physics or radiation protection)
  • Basic knowledge in the field of radiation protection and measurement technology
  • Knowledge in the field of exhaust air monitoring is an advantage
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
