This Grants and Contracts Specialist collaboratively assists faculty with managing pre and post award activities for externally sponsored research as a member of the Office of Research Team in the College of Public Health and as a liaison to the university’s Office of Sponsored Programs in accordance with CPH Research Guidelines. Assists with proposal development and submission as well as co-management of grant financials and personnel appointments with the faculty Principal Investigator and the Sponsored Program Officer. Works closely with the Director of the Office of Research to ensure all pre and post award needs and compliance requirements are satisfied.
Employees are provided several flexible work schedule and location options including an option for remote within the state of Ohio. All employees are provided university-configured equipment and supportive technology tools. Employees are required to provide reliable internet access and home office furnishings for approved remote work locations. All staff are expected to attend certain in-person work events during the year, regardless of work schedule and location.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Pre-Award/Proposal submission and Post-Award/Project Financials Management.
- Microsoft Office applications, One Drive, Teams, Zoom, proficient in Excel
- Grant/research administration experience desired
- Basic knowledge of Workday, OSU research systems (PI Portal, e-PA005, Cayuse), eRA Commons, NSF-Research.gov, Proposal Central, budgeting.
Pay Range
$51,000 – $67,000 Annually
Salary offer will be determined from candidate education and experience, and internal equity.
