Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
Essential Functions
Will perform general laboratory duties, will process and store a variety of samples that come into the laboratory, will execute experiments to collect a variety of omics data in a reliable and valid manner, will maintain data in an electronic database, and will follow all standard operating procedures set up in the laboratory.
Physical Effort  

Moderate physical effort. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
