This is a part-time position for an Assistant Research Scientist to contribute to an internally funded study of speech technology in the Biofeedback Intervention Technology for Speech (BITS) Lab. The assistant researcher may contribute to post-processing and measurement of audio and ultrasound files resulting from experimental data collection.
The job duties for this position require minimal in-person interaction and can be performed remotely >60% of the time (i.e., more than 3 days per week). In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly salary range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. The employee who takes on this role can expect to work 3 hours per week.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have completed an undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology, linguistics, cognitive science, or computer science/engineering and have previous experience working with GetContours for ultrasound tracking review.
