Duties and Responsibilities
Drs. Geyu Zhou and Boran Gao are jointly hiring a full-time postdoctoral fellow in statistical genetics (with immediate start availability). The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to work on methodological as well as collaborative research projects for genetics and genomic data, with a focus on multi-ancestry analysis. Broad research projects include but are not limited to: 1) developing and applicating statistical methods for multi-ancestry polygenic risk score and fine-mapping 2) analyzing large-scale dataset such as UK biobank and All of US The fellow is expected to write peer-reviewed manuscripts as first author; and will be encouraged for publication, and conference travel.
This is a 2-year training position jointly appointed between the Department of Statistics and the Department of Biological Sciences with possible extension subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The fellow will get opportunities to regularly interact and collaborate with other team members within the Department of Statistics, Department of Biological Sciences, and Department of Sociology through campus wide social-genomics initiative.
