Current effort in the lab is focused on the neuroscience of asprosin action and on understanding how asprosin is secreted from adipose tissue in health and disease. The lab is also focused on identifying new hormones. Working under limited supervision, coordinate research work in biomedical environment to employ human genetics as an initial impetus but also specializes in basic biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, mouse genetics, physiology and neuroscience to enable the discovery process.
