The Wolter Lab at Iowa State University, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a multiyear sustainability assessment project supported by the USDA Forest Service. The candidate will leverage existing geospatial datasets to quantify and map existing forest resources within the Superior National forest for subsequent harvest sustainability and logistics analysis.
The candidate will work in collaboration with researchers from the University of Minnesota, Michigan Technological University, and the USDA Forest Service to synthesize and publish research results.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in natural resources domain
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with statistical and Geospatial analysis.
- Demonstrated Experience in scientific writing.
- Experience with Northern forest ecosystems.
- Experience processing/analyzing remote sensing data of forested environments.
- Refereed publications record.
- Experience with programming
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
