The project will involve coronavirus pathogenesis. We work with coronavirus host interactions with focus on antagonism of the innate immune response and unfolded protein responses with projects in SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV, the common cold CoVs 229E, NL63 and OC4 3and the model murine coronavirus (MHV). Projects will involve tissue culture infections in BSL3 lab including primary nasal epithelial cells and mouse models.
Qualifications
PhD in molecular virology and/or viral pathogenesis. BSL3 experience preferred but not required
