A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Sumitrajit Dhar at Northwestern University in the Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The focus of Dr. Dhar’s laboratory is in improving the diagnosis of hearing loss and hearing healthcare delivery.
Principal Accountabilities
- To conduct experiments for projects focused on hearing health services and care delivery.
- To develop new techs to obtain grants and publications.
- To help write grants and compete for funding.
- To help write and contribute to publications resulting from research done in the lab.
Minimum Qualifications/Competencies:
- PhD in audiology, hearing science, psychology, sociology, epidemiology, public health, health economics or a related field.
- Experience using statistical software.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Experience conducting research using mixed methods and familiarity with data science and AI/ML applications.
- Experience with randomized control trials and in health services research.
- Proficiency with R or similar analysis environment.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
