Feed additives are one of the most promising solutions to reduce enteric methane emissions from ruminant systems. There has been little investigation into the long-term impact of these additives on animal performance and persistency of emission reductions. The upcoming project will be involved in researching and managing a 525-day intervention across 66 dairy cows at the UC Davis dairy as well as on a commercial dairy.
