The Seminar for German Philology, Department of German Linguistics, at the Georg-August University of Göttingen is looking to fill the position of
research assistant (f/m/d)
with 65% of the regular weekly working hours (currently 25.87 hours/week) for a limited period of three years. The salary is based on salary group 13 TV-L .
Your tasks
- Collaboration in the DFG project “w-connectors: theory and diachrony of w-elements introducing subordinate clauses in German” ( https://gepris.dfg.de/gepris/projekt/552052569 );
- Extraction, analysis and presentation of data (on w-connectors in relative and adverbial clauses) from text corpora of German in different historical periods (for detailed information on the contents of the project and further inquiries, please contact Prof. Dr. Marco Coniglio at the email address below).
your profile
- a completed university degree in German linguistics or a comparable subject and a relevant above-average master’s thesis;
- very good knowledge of syntax, morphology and modern grammar theories;
- Knowledge of historical grammar as well as corpus linguistic and statistical methods is also advantageous.
The position is intended to qualify young scientists and offers the opportunity to do a doctorate.
