Job description
FAST-Lab is looking for 1-3 Research Assistants (preferably MSc thesis students) to work within European research projects.
The work of is mainly composed of the following activities: Collaboration activities with the project partners such as participating in teleconference meetings and workshops, to develop the required software modules. The development includes architecture review, computer programming, and software testing. The positions provide the candidates the opportunity to enhance their software development skills as well as their communication skills. We also appreciate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies on the job. Furthermore, the positions will provide the possibility for the students leading to their MSc thesis work.
Requirements
Automation students with knowledge of robotics, AI and programming
We require the following:
- Python programming
- AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning)
- Fundamentals of Robotics
- English is the working language of the research group therefore fluency in English, both written and oral, are considered essential

We offer
The positions will be part-time/full-time, and they will be filled for a fixed term until summer/autumn 2025, or as mutually agreed upon by both parties. The expected starting date is in January 2025, or as mutually agreed upon by both parties. A trial period of maximum half of the duration of the employment applies.
The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System . The position of Research Assistant is placed on the job demand level 1 (the demand level chart for the teaching and research staff). In addition, employees will receive a performance-based salary. Typical salary for a research assistant is 2100-2400 e/month.

FAST-Lab. -research group is looking for 1-3 part-time/full-time research assistants, preferably diploma workers, for our EU project. The goal of FAST-Lab is the seamless connection of data between people and machines/robots. We create smart environments that utilize the latest information and communication technology. FAST-Lab’s research areas include factory automation, industrial informatics, industrial cyber-physical systems, robotics and artificial intelligence.
