Job Details:
This position will end effective one year from start date. Subsequent annual renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide research support for ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform research related to ribosome biogenesis in yeast.
- Supervise undergraduate students.
- Other tasks as needed to contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of a research laboratory.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or closely related field. Two years of research experience in a molecular biology or biochemistry lab. Expertise in molecular cloning. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use specialized research equipment as required by the project.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field. Experience with preparing and handling RNA, western blotting and immunoprecipitation
Salary Range
$42,500 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).

Work Shift
Flexible between 7am – 6pm, Monday – Friday
