A one year Research Scientist (postdoctoral Fellowship) in AI and the Future of Work is being offered through New York University’s Stern School of Business. This is a full-time position that will start during summer 2025. The Fellow will participate in the research community at New York University and work closely with Professor Robert Seamans and co-authors on projects related to new technologies, including AI and robots, and labor market policies, including credentialing.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000-$100,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD in Economics, Finance, Strategy, Management or related field; Special Sworn Status or the ability to pass a federal background investigation to secure Special Sworn Status with the U.S. Census Bureau; experience working in a Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC); strong analytic and programming skills, including experience in Stata, Python, and R.
