Your mission
As an Research Assistant, your work will contribute to advancing knowledge in occupational health and labor market research while ensuring the smooth execution of key initiatives such as conferences and collaborative projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse tasks that combine qualitative research, open-access tool development, and administrative support. The employment is temporary for 12 months.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate on the development and crowdsourcing of open-access code libraries, translation keys, and tools for labor market research.
- Use GitHub or similar platforms to publish and maintain these resources, ensuring usability for researchers.
- Organize workshops with researchers
- Provide administrative assistance to the research group leader, including organizing meetings, managing email correspondence, and triaging inquiries.
Your profile
Requirements:
- A relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in informatics, public health, labor studies, or a related field.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with open-access tools and platforms, such as GitHub, and an interest in supporting researchers through resource development.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and with external partners.
- Familiarity with Swedish labor market dynamics and an understanding of non-standard employment challenges is highly desirable.
