The Department of Entomology seeks a Research Technician for approximately 40 hours/week.
This position will maintain mosquito colonies, conduct toxicology bioassays on mosquitoes, collect and record experimental data, assist in preparation of reports and manuscripts, and assist in general lab inventory and organization including chemical hygiene and waste management.
Position will report to Dr. Peter Piermarini and is based in the Wooster Science
Building of the Ohio State CFAES Wooster campus (Wooster, OH 44691).
This is a term 1-year position, with possibility of extension to 3 years based on performance and project progress.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
1-2 years of relevant experience required.
Salary
The pay range for this position is $15.70-20.67/hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
