The assistant professorship for Digital Higher Education / Digital University Didactics is dedicated to the development, research and implementation of digital teaching and learning methods in the university context. It deals with central questions such as: “How can large groups of students be individually supported in the learning process?”, “How can productive learning processes be identified and promoted in digital education?” and “What skills do teachers and learners need for effective digital education?”. A particular focus is on technology-supported feedback, learning analytics, feedback literacy and the use of artificial intelligence.
As a DIZH bridge professorship, there is close cooperation with the Zurich University of Teacher Education, which creates opportunities for collaborative research projects.
The position is initially limited to 3 years, with the possibility of extension. The aim of the position is to develop and work on a self-selected research topic in the thematic context of the professorship as part of a dissertation.
Tasks
- preparation of a dissertation

profile
- Completed studies in a relevant subject area (e.g. educational science, psychology or teaching qualification for secondary level II)
- Great interest in researching questions about educational technology, learning analytics, media didactics
- Sound knowledge of empirical research methods, especially quantitative methods, or the willingness to work intensively in this area
- Confident use of technical language in German and English
- Flexibility, reliability, quality orientation and strong teamwork skills
