Missions
The mission of this project is to contribute to the operationalization of the HOMARDS sensor developed at the IETR. Currently, this sensor is being finalized and is being tested in so-called “near nadir” conditions. The missions involve integrating the final elements of the HOMARDS radar sensor (namely antenna and azimuth orientation system) on the PIMA carrier and to carry out measurements close to the operating point of the ODYSEA mission project. Similarly, measurements in a wave basin are planned to obtain information on the behavior of waves in Ka band.
Activities
The activities associated with the missions of the offer are:
– electronic development
– field measurement campaigns: Iroise Sea, Mediterranean Sea (off Toulon), Luminy wave basin
– signal processing and analysis of measurements
SKILLS
To successfully carry out the proposed missions, the expected skills are:
– development of electronic systems and integration
– management and support of measurement campaigns
– rigor and autonomy
Work context
The missions will mainly take place at INSA Rennes, building 6. Travel is planned to ensure field experiments. In addition to the HOMARDS radar system currently under development, measurement resources such as computers (radar control and data processing, office automation) or production resources (components, component assembly) will be provided.
The position is located in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
