Job Description
Within the IT department of the Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes (ISCR), the apprentice will be required to train by applying their knowledge in the field of infrastructure management and IT support.
The apprentice will be supported on two missions:
User support which involves the tasks below:
– Provide part of the support to users (advice, quotes and support)
– Raise user awareness of phishing and IT hygiene
– Report incidents and propose functional improvements
– Develop the information system so that it is in line with the needs and organization of the laboratory (update of digital identity tools, access rights, mailing lists, etc.)
And the management of the server infrastructure which includes the following actions:
– Participate in the implementation, operation and maintenance of a virtualized infrastructure.
– Study, installation and security of service.
– Configuration, tests and monitoring after scaling up.
Employer Description
The Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 6226) associating the CNRS, the University of Rennes, the National School of Chemistry of Rennes (ENSCR) and the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes (INSA). It has nearly 300 permanent staff and
more than 200 contract staff around 5 research axes:

– Electronics and molecular materials
The apprentice will join the Institute’s IT department. Located on the Beaulieu campus, the department’s mission is to provide research support.
Under the immediate responsibility of the unit management, the IT department is made up of a manager, a part-time developer (0.2 FTE) and a mesh network of 20 IT correspondents distributed among the research teams and across the unit’s various locations.
