Job Description

Your tasks

  • Conducting sampling tours as part of environmental monitoring 
  • Analysis and evaluation of environmental samples as well as food and material samples 
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual environmental monitoring reports 
  • Analysis of commissioned samples (e.g. food or material samples) for radioactive traces 
  • Routine analyses of incorporation samples 
  • Support and quality assurance of analytical instruments (e.g., performance of functional checks and validation measurements) 
  • Maintenance of sampling equipment installed in the field (e.g. air filter systems, water collectors, dust collection plates, rain collection containers) 
  • Working in monitoring and control areas

Your profile

  • You have a professional qualification as a chemical laboratory technician and several years of laboratory experience. Ideally, you already have experience with inorganic sample digestion techniques and are familiar with preparative chromatography. 
  • Valid category B driving license 
  • Solid experience in trace analysis and the operation of analytical instruments such as gamma detectors, alpha spectrometers, beta LSC, and ICP-MS 
  • In-depth user knowledge of laboratory databases (LIMS) and Microsoft Office
