Position Details
Position Description
The Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking applicants for a full time (1.0) Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor to join the Allergy Section.
As part of a leading academic institution, the UW Allergy Section is dedicated to education, collaboration, and excellence in clinical care and research. The section includes 7 clinically active faculty, 4 fellows, as well as an advanced practice provider. The successful candidate will provide clinical care to pediatric and adult patients with allergic and immunologic disorders in the outpatient clinics, and provide inpatient services as needed. Providers see a broad range of general allergy/immunology conditions and collaborate with numerous specialties including pulmonary, infectious diseases, and hematology/oncology to provide subspecialized care including, but not limited to, primary immunodeficiency, severe asthma, and drug allergy delabeling. Teaching responsibilities include oversight of medical students, residents, and fellows while on clinical service, contributing to fellowship education in classroom instruction, and mentorship. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a full-time faculty member at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in the UW Faculty Code Section 24-34. Clinical faculty hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position is anticipated to start in December 2025 or later.
The base salary range for this position will be: $17,084 – $21,667 per month ($205,008 – $260,004 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive pay and administrative supplement.
For practitioners holding an appointment in one of the physicians practice plans, see the link for additional benefits that may be available at https://faculty.uwmedicine.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/UWP-Benefits-Summary-for-recruitingef-edits-v3.pdf
