Empa operates 30 guest accommodations at its St. Gallen site for our employees from all over the world.

We are seeking a customer-friendly and service-oriented individual to manage the company’s guest houses, starting in October 2027.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for providing guest rooms and, together with our guest house administration, plan occupancy in the individual shared apartments. Upon departure, you will ensure the final cleaning of the room and bed linen. Your responsibilities include regular inspections and cleaning of the common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) in the shared apartments, as well as the laundry room and stairwell. You will ensure that our house rules are adhered to and take care of cleaning materials and the proper disposal of recyclables. You will report any damage to furniture and rooms, as well as the need for consumables, to the administration. Another area of ​​responsibility is helping out in our cafeteria during holiday absences or at events. You will serve our internal guests with fresh products at the counter and ensure that the vending machines are restocked.

Your profile

You have basic training in maintenance cleaning and several years of experience in this field. Knowledge of the hotel or housekeeping industry is desirable. With your good manners and assertiveness, you are the right person for us. You are fluent in written and spoken German and can also communicate with our guests in English. You have a Category B driver’s license for transporting materials to and from the guest house. We expect flexibility in scheduling (weekdays only) for guests’ arrival and departure and for assisting in the cafeteria. You can plan inspection and cleaning work independently and freely.
