The Opportunity:
Are you a motivated, proactive individual with a passion for translating groundbreaking research into real-world impact? Edinburgh Innovations is excited to welcome an Innovation Development Associate to our dynamic team within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. This role offers a unique change to work with leading-edge research and facilitate its translation to impact and commercialisation.
What You’ll Do:
As a key part in our Innovation Development team, you’ll contribute to delivery of the College’s strategy for knowledge exchange and commercialisation (KEC) focussing on industrial engagement and translational awards. You’ll identify synergies between industry needs and academic expertise, driving robust proposals from start to finish. Your work will form a pivotal part of lasting relationships with both companies and academics.
Who you are:
- Educational background: graduate level (minimum) in life science
- Experience: evidence of interest or track record in knowledge exchange, industry experience
- Collaborative spirit: Excellent at working with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships
- IP Knowledge: Strong understanding of the principles of intellectual property protection and exploitation
- Proactive nature: ability to work independently, energetically, flexibly and with a can-do attitude
