The Faculty comprises of ten departments and, across all levels of study, has in excess of 10,000 students. This requires a high level of support and collaboration from our Ed Tech and Education teams.
The Faculty Ed Tech Team is a Learning Design and Innovation team and works alongside an Education Systems and Delivery team. Both sections work in partnership with one another to provide high quality support for all our colleagues in Departments to enhance the experience of students and staff in the undertaking of our Educational Mission.
What you would be doing
Based in the Ed Tech Learning Design and Innovation team the learning technologist will be someone who possesses excellent customer service skills along with sufficient technical knowledge to serve as the first point of contact for Learning Design and Innovation work. You should be an outstanding team player with a creative mind-set and a passion for teaching and learning delivery and innovation, ready to hit the ground running.
What we are looking for
The position involves supporting and promoting effective digital learning practices and pedagogy by building, testing, and deploying high-quality online content and assessments using all our institutional tools. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in Ed Tech pilot projects and conduct user testing of learning technology systems from an Academic learning and teaching viewpoint. Responsibilities also include delivering training programmes support to Academic staff and facilitating communities of practice. This role will involve working flexibly to meet requirements.
