The Politics Department at Princeton University has an occasional curricular need for lecturers (part-time and/or full-time) to teach or co-teach, on campus, in areas such as American Politics, Comparative Politics, Formal Theory/Quantitative Methods, International Relations, and/or Political Theory, and accepts applications in advance in the event the occasion arises where such lecturers are needed. Such positions would require leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Any appointments are subject to enrollments and are expected to begin January 16, 2025, or September 1, 2025, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need.

Expected Salary Range: $81,700 – $86,000

The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
