Missions

At the interface between CPV researchers, professionals, and partners (companies, other laboratories, etc.), the IJA manager will be in direct contact with the CPV director.
1/Engineering and project management within the “Cherchons pour Voir” laboratory
In collaboration with the CPV director, he must be able to take charge of writing, management and reporting missions for CPV research projects, but also their promotion (co-writing of scientific or professional publications, presentation at conferences and educational days, organization of workshops and conferences, etc.), as well as the transfer of certain results to private partners.
2. Educational engineering and digital innovation at the IJA
– Support for the use of accessible digital technology
This first part of the activity concerns the implementation of training for IJA professionals. This will include offering content and support for the use of digital tools. This point will involve keeping a watch on the evolution of standards and reference materials (for example W3C, RGAA) in order to regularly update the content delivered. It will also involve assessing the extent to which these tools can meet specific needs within the IJA establishment and, if necessary, making them known while supporting their use (material as well as pedagogical).
– Implementation and evaluation of innovative educational and pedagogical devices
In connection with the previous section, it will be a question of being a force for proposals concerning the implementation of innovative devices, which meet the needs of professionals on the one hand and the challenges raised by the growing development of digital technology on the other. These initiatives must be promoted through communication and dissemination actions to the outside world, so that the structure is identified as a center at the forefront of digital innovations in the field of disability.

Activities

All the missions presented above will rely on partnerships involving different types of structures (research laboratories, cultural and sports associations, educational centers, digital actors committed to accessibility, etc.). These partnerships will have to be led around the implementation of collaborative projects, whose external communication will contribute to the influence and visibility of the CPV laboratory and the IJA. The IJA manager will also be responsible for managing the website and social networks of “Cherchons pour Voir”.

Work context

“Cherchons pour Voir” is a research laboratory serving visually impaired people, their families, and the professionals who support them. Its mission is to develop new knowledge and new technologies to improve the autonomy, education, and quality of life of people with visual impairments.
This laboratory is the result of a collaboration between the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), Paul-Sabatier University (UPS) in Toulouse, and the Center for Specialized Education – Institute for Young Blind People (IJA) in Toulouse.

The position is located in a sector covered by the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
