Doctoral fellow
YOUR JOB
- We are seeking a motivated and talented PhD student with a (bio)medical background and a strong interest in biomarker research.
- This translational research project focuses on exploring the potential of glycomics-based biomarkers in the rare liver disease Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC).
- This project is embedded in a well-established research line and offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact study that could significantly improve the understanding and care of PSC patients.
- 🔬 What You’ll Do
Conduct translational research with a focus on data analysis and biomarker discovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians
• Engage with the International PSC Study Group, a global research consortium
• Work in both wet lab and database-driven environments, with a primary focus on data - The goal of this work is to obtain a PhD
Job profile
- You hold a Master’s degree (preferably) in medicine, biomedical sciences, pharmacy or a related field
- A strong interest in liver disease, biomarkers, and translational research
- Motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Prior experience in laboratory or data analysis work is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer a full-time position as a doctoral fellow, consisting of an initial period of 12 months, which – after a positive evaluation, will be extended to a total maximum of 48 months.
- Your contract will start on September 1, 2025 at the earliest.
- The fellowship amount is 100% of the net salary of an AAP member in equal family circumstances. The individual fellowship amount is determined by Team Personnel Administration based on family status and seniority. A grant that meets the conditions and criteria of the regulations for doctoral fellowships is considered free of personal income tax. Click here for more information about our salary scales
