Post Doctoral Scholar in Computer Science and Engineering
Postdoc @Ohio State University posted 3 weeks agoJob Description
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on problems at the intersection of algebraic coding theory, matroid theory, and pseudorandomness/derandomization. The focus will be on developing new mathematical and algorithmic tools that advance our understanding of these areas and their connections.
Possible research directions include explicit constructions of error-correcting codes with combinatorial or algebraic structure, applications of matroid-theoretic techniques to derandomization, and exploring structural properties of algebraic objects arising in complexity theory.
The position offers opportunities for both independent research and collaboration on ongoing projects in theoretical computer science. Collaborate closely with Dr. Zeyu Guo and other team members on ongoing and new research projects. Participate in writing research papers and presenting results at seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Qualifications
Required: PhD in Computer Science or Math
Strong background in theoretical computer science, particularly in algebraic complexity theory and pseudorandomness.
Desired
At least 4 years of research experience; expertise in writing research publications and presenting them at conferences.
