Postdoctoral position in molecular imaging with stable isotope tracers

One postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Stefan Gloeggler, in the Advanced Imaging Research Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center to investigate new molecular imaging approaches using stables isotopes (e.g. 2H, 13C, 15N). The project includes deuterium MRI as well as hyperpolarized MRI for applications in cancer research.
Research project:
– Performing molecular imaging studies using preclinical cancer models with deuterium MRI and
hyperpolarized imaging agents
– Investigating newly developed molecular imaging agents in disease models
– Collaborating on hyperpolarization studies with parahydrogen
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, preferably in biochemistry, biology, biophysics or a related discipline.
Expertise in hyperpolarization or deuterium MRI studies, preclinical studies and experience with writing
IACUC applications is desirable.
