What you do here
  • Provide professionally qualified teaching in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs as well as in the continuing education courses of the Department of Architecture, Wood and Construction in the field of timber engineering
  • Acquire and implement R&D projects, research mandates and service contracts in the area of ​​one’s own expertise in the field of activity of the Timber Structures Group of the Institute of Timber Construction
  • Show public presence within the subject area and represent the university

The title of professor can be used provided that the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met.

What you ideally bring with you
  • University degree in civil engineering, wood engineering or wood technology, each with a specialization in timber construction
  • Adequate research experience, PhD is advantageous
  • Several years of practical experience outside of university in timber engineering
  • Communication and teamwork skills, strong initiative
  • Certificate in higher education teaching or the willingness to acquire it
  • Very good German and good English skills, good French skills are advantageous
